Who is Gina Lima? 5 things about the late actress-model
Gina Lima made headlines on Tuesday after she was declared dead on arrival at Quezon City General Hospital.
According to reports, it was her ex-boyfriend who rushed her to the hospital after Gina was found unresponsive inside her ex-boyfriend’s home in Quezon City.
Based on the initial medical report, her cause of death was cardio-respiratory distress.
Her passing made the rounds on social media amid claims that she was allegedly beaten by her ex-partner. But according to the police, early findings do not support this angle.
To honor her life, here are five things to know about Gina:
1. She was 23 years old
Gina was only in her early 20s when she passed away. She last celebrated her birthday on January 27, 2025 and wrote on Instagram, "national me day."
2. She was a model and an actress
Gina’s budding career revolved around modeling and acting. According to IMDb, she starred in the 2018 film “My Fairy Tail Love Story” alongside Janella Salvador, Elmo Magalona, and Kiko Estrada.
On social media, she frequently posted about her modeling gigs.
3. She was a social media personality
Gina gained a strong online following over the years. She had more than 400,000 followers on Facebook and 181,000 on Instagram.
4. She was a confident girl
Gina’s Instagram feed featured photos of herself confidently posing in bikinis and fashionable outfits that highlighted her hourglass figure.
