Elijah Canlas attends anti-corruption protest anew

Elijah Canlas once again lent his support to the anti-corruption protests, attending the Trillion Peso March at the People Power Monument in EDSA on Sunday.

In a video shared by GMA Integrated News reporter Athena Imperial, Elijah urged Filipinos to unite against widespread corruption.

The award-winning actor said now is the best time to voice our grievances to the government.

"Actually may trabaho ako mamaya, may trabaho ako ng hapon, may trabaho ako ng gabi pero I made sure to come here tonight makiisa sa lahat ng mga Pilipino na pagod na pagod na, na gustong i-boses at gustong lumaban makibaka ka kasama ng mga kapwa Pilipino natin," Elijah said.

"So sa lahat ng mga nandyan ngayon kung wala kayong ganap ngayon, kung wala kayong trabaho ngayon sana magkaroon kayo ng tapang at enough na pagmamahal sa ating bayan para makisama at makiisa dito sa pakikibaka ka na 'to," he added.

Elijah said that there is no pressure to take a stand, as each individual has their own choices, but he emphasized that people should be aware of the issues of the country.

"Pero no pressure naman 'yan, sarili-sariling choice naman tayo, iba-iba tayo ng pananaw sa buhay. Pero at the same time kung hindi ka pa mulat, kailan pa?" he asked.

Elijah previously attended the first anti-corruption rally held on September 21.

The actor currently stars in KMJS' "Gabi ng Lagim: The Movie," alongside Sanya Lopez, Jillian Ward, Miguel Tanfelix, and more.
