PBB Celebrity Collab 2.0: Miguel Vergara wins gift of immunity

Miguel Vergara has saved himself from the next nomination after winning the gift of immunity challenge. 

On Sunday’s episode of “Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0”, Vergara, Lella Ford, and Rave Victoria were the last three housemates in the final test in which they needed to stand on eight wooden planks while holding a large gift box. 

The endurance task was made more challenging as on Kuya’s cue, the wooden platforms they stood on were removed one by one until only a single plank was left. The housemates cannot fall, touch the floor, or drop the gift box, or else they would be eliminated from the challenge. 

Vergara had the advantage of a three-minute rest in the challenge after ranking first in the previous challenge. Likewise, fellow Kapamilya housemate Ford also got the same advantage after winning the public voting. 

Before the task started, the three housemates had to write a message on the stand dedicated to the people who inspired them to do the challenge. 

Vergara dedicated his message to his parents. 

“Dinedicate ko po sa mom and dad ko po. Sila po ‘yung naisip ko po, kuya, at sila po ‘yung nag-light po nung fire ng drive ko po to win the immunity. Lalo na po nung narinig ko po ‘yung boses ng mom ko po, alam ko po ulit kung ano po ‘yung pinaglalaban ko sa bahay niyo po, kuya,” he said. 

(I dedicated this to my mom and dad. They were the ones I was thinking of, Big Brother, and they were the ones who lit the fire of my drive to win the immunity. Especially when I heard my mom’s voice, I remembered once again what I am fighting for here in your house, Big Brother.) 

All the three housemates made it to the end with only one wooden plank left. But it was Victoria who fell first to the floor. On the other hand, Vergara and Ford tried their best to balance on their respective planks. 

In the end, it was the Adorable Smasher from Antipolo City who prevailed in the task. 

“I have something to fight for, kuya. Masarap po sa feeling, kuya na ‘yung ipinaglaban niyo po kuya ay naipaglaban niyo po,” he said. 

(I have something to fight for, Big Brother. It feels so good, Big Brother, when you succeed in fighting for it.)

“Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0” started airing on October 25. The second season features 20 Gen Z celebrities from Sparkle and Star Magic.
