Melanie Marquez filed a request before the Bureau of Immigration seeking the visa cancellation and blacklisting of her husband, Adam "Randy" Lawyer, following alleged abuse.
During her guest appearance on "Fast Talk With Boy Abunda," Monday, Tito Boy said she filed the request on November 11, 2025.
Melanie detailed what she went through during their marriage.
"I've been very patient, kasi noong kinasal kami ni Adam, ni Randy, talagang nag-mindset ako na I want this marriage to last. I'm going to work very hard because dream ko magkaroon ng pamilya," she said.
"But along that way, I'm verbally abused, iniinsulto niya ako, emotionally, financially, and mentally kasi magaling siyang magsalita, eh palibhasa in love ako," she added.
March 2022 incident
In her request, Melanie cited specific incidents of abuse, including sometime in March 2022 when Randy allegedly struck her on the right ear while sleeping.
"Natutulog ako. Magkatabi kami. Akala ko napanaginipan kong may sumusuntok sa akin. But then, naalimpungatan ako, nakita kong nakatingin siya sa akin tapos sinuntok niya ako. Alimpungatan lang 'yon," she said, adding that there was no provocation that led Randy to hit her.
"The minute I sat down on the bed, may sound na [sa tenga ko]. Teka muna, sinuntok mo ako? Sinipa ko siya para mahulog sa kama. Sabi ko why did you punch me? What did I do wrong to you? Sabi niya, I was dreaming, I don't know," Melanie said.
She then went to the police to report the incident and to the hospital for a medico-legal. The findings revealed that her ear was damaged.
Melanie said she also called their barangay for immediate protection.
"Ang ginawa ko pumunta ako sa barangay para paalisin siya sa bahay. Para protective order sa akin. Pinaalis siya."
Before that, the actress alleged there was another incident involving a firearm.
"Actually before that tinutukan ako ng baril niyan. He wanted me to solve his problem," Melanie said.
"Sabi niya sa akin, 'you know you should do something for me. Solve the problem in Davao.' He doesn't know what to do and I'm coming back here kaya bigla niyang sinabing ganoon. Ewan ko bakit niya ako tinutukan, buti na lang hindi ako 'yung tipong natataranta ganoon," she added.
October 2025 incident
Melanie also cited an incident that happened in October 2025. It was a confrontation over her personal assistant, who she said was listed as an executive secretary of their company in Utah without her knowledge.
"Ang sinabi ko kay Randy, why is she given the privilege to be executive secretary of our company in the States?" she said.
That led to another physical altercation where Randy allegedly hit her on the chest while they were inside a car.
"Kasi napupuno na ako eh. Noong drinive ko siya sa mga doctors niya. Sabi ko, Randy, I'd like to use the car just to drive around just to cool down. Sabi niya, OK. So paghatid ko sa kaniya, nag-change mind siya. Ako naka-seatbelt pa, siya hindi na. Sabi niya 'No, you are not gonna use the car.' Then dinibdiban niya ako at pininch na pa ganon," she said.
After the incident, she called her friend to see a doctor. She underwent an MRI test which showed that her right rib was fractured.
She then left their home and hasn't talked to Randy since then. Melanie's lawyer advised her to request a protection order from the court.
"Kasi 'pag masyado mo akong sinaktan, I'd rather not see you at all," she said.
'Kidnapped against my will'
In the same interview, Melanie revealed the reason why she suddenly disappeared in the limelight some time ago.
"In-abuct ako. I was kidnapped against my will. I was judged. Nobody talked to me. I cannot talk to anyone. My phone got hacked and it's on my birthday. Birthday ko mismo noong in-abduct ako because I filed a case against Randy noong pagsuntok niya sa akin," she said.
"Nawala ako. So noong nawala ako nilagay ako sa mental hospital thinking siraulo ako, when in fact I am taking care of my two boys and I'm having a construction ng binili kong lupa. Bigla akong nawala," she said.
Melanie said she was left in the facility for 10 days.
"Noong iniwan ako sa facility, pinatawag ko sila bakit ako naiwan dito. Hinila ako ng mga staff at dinala ako sa fourth floor. Tinali ako. Bakit niya ako tinali? Hindi naman ako nagwawala. Mandatory daw," she said.
According to Melanie, her words were twisted into an allegation that she intended to harm herself and her children.
Melanie said she was also put into a rehabilitation facility for eight months.
"In-injection-an nila ako, nawalan ako ng malay. Paggising ko, iba na 'yung environment. I'm in a rehab already. Nilipat ako. So ako naman curious," she said. "Bakit ako nandito? Kasi sa rehab, parang nasa jail ako na wala lang rehas. Bakit ako nandoon? Bakit nila ako nilagay dito na hindi man lang ako kinausap?"
After undergoing a drug test, the result revealed negative. She also denied using drugs.
"Siguro nag-try lang ako [noong teenager ako]. Experience. Wala lang, party-party lang, pero hindi bisyo. Hindi siya bisyo," Melanie said.
Adam denies allegations
On Tuesday's episode of "Fast Talk With Boy Abunda," Adam's lawyers issued a statement denying Melanie's allegations against her husband.
"Ms. Melanie has always been engaged in ostentatiously accusing Mr. Lawyer of abuse, but all of which were found to be baseless or unfounded by the proper forum. This is nothing but an act of harassment suffered by our client; an act of defamation on the part of Ms. Melanie," Atty. Jecko G. Bello said.
According to them, the case that Melanie referenced in her interview, which she had previously filed against him, was dismissed by the Office of the City Prosecutor of Makati and never proceeded to the court of law.
Melanie married Randy in 2000. They have two children: Abraham and Adam.
Melanie has also four kids from previous relationships: Michelle Dee, Maxine, Mazen, and Manuelito. —Jade Veronique Yap/MGP, GMA Integrated News
