Grammy Awards 2026: British singer Olivia Dean wins Best New Artist

British singer-songwriter Olivia Dean, who topped charts at home and abroad with her monster hit "Man I Need," won the Grammy for Best New Artist.

She bested a crowded field that included "Ordinary" singer Alex Warren, girl group Katseye, TikTok dancer-turned-singer Addison Rae, The Marias, sombr, Lola Young and Leon Thomas.

Dean received the award from Chappelle Roan, who's red carpet appearance went viral for her NSFW dress, which was held up by a pair of rings hanging from her nipple area.

In her acceptance speech, Dean said, "I'm up here as the granddaughter of an immigrant."

"I'm a product of bravery, and I think those people deserve to be celebrated. So, yeah, we're nothing without each other," she added.

Dean is currently having a moment, following the success of her 2025 album "The Art of Loving." Her song from the album, 'So Easy (to fall in love),' is a favorite and often-heard track on TikTok.

Earlier, Kendrick Lamar took home three trophies in the rap category, while Bad Bunny bagged the Best Global Music performance trophy. Lady Gaga won Best Dance Pop recording.
