Maricel Soriano attends Holy Mass marking Nora Aunor's first death anniversary

Maricel Soriano was among those who paid tribute to Nora Aunor on her first death anniversary.

On Instagram, Nora's daughter Lotlot de Leon shared snaps from a Holy Mass held in her honor, which was also attended by her siblings Matet and Kenneth, as well as Nora's close friend, Maricel.

In the caption, Lotlot expressed her love for her mom and her gratitude to the Diamond Star.

"We love you always, Mommy. Inay Marya, salamat po for being with us today. Grateful for you. Love you," she simply wrote.

Several fans also gathered for Nora's first death anniversary at the Libingan ng mga Bayani, alongside her son Ian De Leon.

Nora died on April 16, 2025 at the age of 71. According to her son Ian de Leon, her cause of death was Acute Respiratory Failure.

Dubbed as the Superstar, Nora was named a National Artist for Film and Broadcast Arts in 2022. She was known for her iconic roles in the films "Himala," "Bona," and "Minsa'y Isang Gamu-gamo."

Her last films include "Mananambal," where she starred with Bianca Umali, and "Pieta," where she starred with Alfred Vargas.

In 2024, she appeared in the GMA Afternoon Prime series "Lilet Matias: Attorney-at-Law," starring Jo Berry. The two of them previously worked together in the 2018 Kapuso series "Onanay."

Nora was also known for singing voice. Among her popular songs include "Pearly Shells" and "Tiny Bubbles."

She married Christopher de Leon in 1975, but they later separated and their marriage was annulled in 1996. They have five children: Ian, Lotlot, Matet, Kiko, and Kenneth.
