Gwyn Dorado performs OST for K-drama 'My Royal Nemesis'
Gwyn Dorado is now the singer of an official soundtrack for a K-drama!
The Filipina artist performed the song "Losing Heart" for the series "My Royal Nemesis." It is a ballad sung in Korean.
The series, which streams on Netflix, is a romance drama about Shin Seo Ri, an actress who got possessed by the soul of a Joseon villaness, and Cha Se Gye, a business tycoon.
Gwyn finished second in the Korean TV singing competition "Sing Again 4" in January.
Born Gwyneth Dorado, the Filipina singer first gained attention as a child finalist on "Asia's Got Talent Season 1" in 2015 at the age of 10. She performed Katy Perry's "Roar" in the audition round and earned four yeses from all four judges, Anggun, David Foster, Melanie C, and Vanness Wu.
She advanced to the grand finale and placed among the Top 5 finalists, joining fellow Filipino acts Shadow Playgroup El Gamma Penumbra and soprano Gerphil Flores.
Gwyn was also tapped to sing the Philippine National Anthem during the last State of the Nation Address of the late President Noynoy Aquino in 2016.
In February 2024, she signed a five-year contract with South Korean agency A.O Entertainment.
Since then, she released "What If," the official soundtrack of the K-drama "ToGetHer," along with the digital single "Way," marking her official debut in South Korea.
"Sing Again" is a South Korean television singing competition which is designed to give "forgotten," underrated, or unknown singers—including former idols, veteran musicians, indie artists, and long-inactive performers—a second chance to be recognized.
