Anthony Rosaldo recovers lost wallet from Sparkle Run: 'Good people still exist'

Anthony Rosaldo recovered the wallet he lost following the Sparkle Run.

On Facebook, the singer-actor said that after the run on May 30, he lost his wallet in the parking area. Not only did it hold his cards and IDs, Anthony said it has sentimental value.

"I just bought it during my recent trip to Japan. It reminded me of a very happy memory I wanted to keep with me everyday," he said.

When he realized it was lost, Anthony posted on Facebook, hoping that someone would find his wallet.

"To be honest, habang iniisip ko 'yung pagkawala, napapaisip din ako na baka hindi ko na talaga makita ulit. Kasi sa panahon ngayon, ang dali mawalan ng tiwala sa tao. Ang dali isipin na 'wala na yan,'" he said.

But then the next day, he got a message from a stranger, who said they had found his wallet. Named Jackielyn Perez Nayangga, she said her nephew found the wallet.

"Hindi nila ako personally kilala, pero nakilala nila ako from TV and they took the effort to search for me on Facebook para maibalik 'yung wallet. Hindi nila itinago. Hindi nila ginalaw. Hindi nila pinag-interesan," Anthony said.

Anthony received his wallet on June 1.

"Complete. Safe. Buong-buo," he said.

More than feeling relieved, Anthony felt that it was God's reminder "that even in a world full of negativity, greed, and bad news, marami pa ring mabubuting tao. Tahimik lang sila. Hindi sila maingay. Pero sila yung tunay na nagbibigay pag-asa sa mundo."

To say thank you, Anthony gave the stranger monetary help.

"Hindi dahil kailangan nila magbalik ng wallet para mabigyan, but because I genuinely wanted them to feel appreciated for their honesty and kindness," he said.

"Parang God aligned everything perfectly. 'Yung simpleng pagkawala ng wallet ko became an opportunity for me to also help and bless someone else," Anthony added.

Anthony said the whole experience gave him important reminders.

"Kindness still exists. Honesty still exists. Good people still exist," he said.

He also has this reminder for his followers.

"At sana huwag tayong mapagod maging mabuti kahit minsan parang unfair ang mundo. Kasi every act of kindness creates a ripple effect. Hindi mo alam kung gaano kalayo ang maaabot ng isang mabuting ginawa mo," he said.

Anthony then thanked Jackielyn and her family.

"Hindi n'yo alam kung gaano kalaki 'yung impact ng ginawa ninyo sa akin. Hindi lang dahil naibalik 'yung gamit ko, kundi dahil na-remind ninyo ako na marami pa ring tao na may mabubuting puso," he said.

The first-ever Sparkle Run was held on May 30 at the Quirino Grandstand.

Anthony previously starred in the "Liwanag sa Dilim" musical, which ran from March to May in 2025. He also starred in "Rent" and "Ang Huling El Bimbo."
