PEP: Luna Mystika ends first week on top in Mega Manila

GMA-7 fantaserye Luna Mystika finished its first week on top with 35.4 percent last Friday, November 21. Since its debut last November 17, Heart Evangelista's show consistently held on to the first or second place. This is according to the latest overnight ratings conducted by AGB Nielsen Philippines among Mega Manila households. Luna Mystika was followed by other Kapuso shows Gagambino (33.9 percent), La Lola (31.9 percent), Survivor Philippines (31.6 percent), and 24 Oras (29.4 percent) to complete the Top 5. ABS-CBN shows TV Patrol World, I Love Betty La Fea, and Pinoy Fear Factor occupied the 6th to 8th positions. Dyosa of ABS-CBN and Bubble Gang of GMA-7 tied at No. 9 while Kapuso game show Family Feud grabbed the last spot in the Top 10. GMA-7's longest-running noontime show Eat Bulaga! topped the daytime race with 22.3 percent, while afternoon soap Una Kang Naging Akin came in second with 21.2 percent. Other Kapuso soaps Saan Darating ang Umaga? and Daisy Siete placed third and fourth, respectively, while ABS-CBN noontime show Wowowee grabbed the fifth spot. Rosalinda and Pilipinas, Game KNB? tied at No. 6; followed by Pieta, SiS, La Traicion, and Boy & Kris. Pinoy Records, hosted by Manny Pacquiao and Chris Tiu, toppled Eat Bulaga! as the No. 1 weekend daytime show last Saturday, November 22. Pinoy Records got 24.1 percent against Eat Bulaga's 21.9 percent. Occupying the rest of the Top 5 are The Singing Bee, Wish Ko Lang, and Wowowee. Meanwhile, Bitoy's Funniest Videos grabbed the top spot in the primetime race with 34.6 percent. Janno Gibbs's Kakasa Ka Ba Sa Grade 5? and Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho tied for second place with both 32.6 percent. Mike Enriquez's Imbestigador came in third place with 21.4 percent; followed by ABS-CBN drama anthology Maalaala Mo Kaya (20.6 percent) and Komiks Presents Tiny Tony (17 percent). Completing the Top 10 are Banana Split, XXX, Nuts Entertainment, TV Patrol World, and Sine Totoo. The boxing match between Ricky Hatton and Paul Malignaggi, billed as The Hitman vs. The Magician, led all daytime shows last Sunday, November 23, with 22.9 percent. The match, which was won by Hatton, was aired in ABS-CBN. ABS-CBN musical-variety show ASAP '08 came in second with 16.1 percent while GMA-7 drama anthology Dear Friend placed fourth with 14 percent. Takeshi's Castle and SOP, both from GMA-7, tied for fourth place. Showbiz Central was in fifth place, followed by Your Song Presents My Only Hope and The Buzz. Finally, Mel & Joey regained the lead in the primetime race with 25.3 percent; while Tok! Tok! Tok! Isang Milyon Pasok came in second with 23.1 percent. Rated K and All Star K tied at No. 3 with identical 21.4 percent; followed by Kap's Amazing Stories (21.2 percent), Goin' Bulilit (20.7 percent), and The Singing Bee (18.8 percent).
