Baron Geisler, Kiko Matos exhibition fight to push through, if...
The demand for tickets to Baron Geisler-Kiko Matos MMA exhibition fight is high, according to Universal Reality Combat Championship (URCC) founder and president Alvin Aguilar.
In an interview with SPIN.ph contributor Snow Badua, Aguilar said that the exhibition match, featuring the two celebrities who got involved in an altercation recently, will not be a circus.
He stressed that it aims to discourage street fighting.
But, Aguilar has one condition to Baron and Kiko: “Magbati muna sila.”
He explained, “We don't want to make it appear that we're glorifying street fighting and everything.”
“People kasi are glorifying street fighting eh. Para hindi na ma-glorify 'yan, we do it properly. We have to be socially responsible, so I offered them and they both agreed,” Aguilar added.
If Baron and Kiko heed to their request, the exhibition match will happen at the Palace Pool Club in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City, on June 25.
“We’re rushing the contract (for the fight to really happen), but what we want first to make this happen is magbati muna sila and after they agree na magbati, then we will push through with the exhibition fight,” Aguilar told SPIN.ph.
He added, "We will see to it that they resolve their differences first, kasi wala naman talaga silang pinag-aawayan eh. They were fighting over nothing kasi pareho silang lasing, tapos nadamay na lahat."
“Kaya I will make sure na magkakasundo muna sila. The reason why we are doing this is after the fight, magkakamay ulit sila at magkakainuman na."
The proceeds of the fight card will be donated to various charities. — Pep.Ph
