Dennis Padilla appointed to MTRCB

Actor Dennis Padilla on Thursday took his oath as a board member of the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB), according to a report by PEP.ph.

Padilla joined fellow appointees — actors Gloria Sevilla and Teresita Villarama, and former Metro Manila Film Festival 2015 juror Carmen Musngi — at Malacañang for the ceremony.

Posting a photo after being inducted to office, Padilla said, "Salamat sa tiwala Mr. President."

PEP.ph additionally reported that other celebrities have been appointed as MTRCB board members before, including Gladys Reyes, veteran actor Robert Arevalo, and singer Luke Mejares.

Presidential Communications Assistant Secretary Margaux "Mocha" Uson was appointed to the same post earlier this year. —AT, GMA News
