Lionel Richie hospitalized after Missouri concert - reports
Lionel Richie was hospitalized after his show in St. Louis, Missouri, on Saturday (US time).
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the singer checked himself into a hospital and is currently being treated for “possible slight dehydration.”
He is stable and hopes to be discharged by Tuesday.
Meanwhile, a witness told TMZ that Lionel appeared “to be struggling a bit” toward the end of his show. He reportedly asked for a chair to sit on before performing “All Night Long” to conclude his concert.
It was TMZ that first reported the singer going to the ICU.
In June, Lionel was also rushed to the hospital after falling ill onstage during his concert in St. Paul, Minnesota.
Aside from “All Night Long,” Lionel is known for hits “Hello,” “Endless Love,” and “Dancing on the Ceiling.”
He was a member of The Commodores, a Motown group that penned songs like "Easy," "Three Times a Lady," and "Still." — Hermes Joy Tunac/LA, GMA News
