Thai actress Yaya Sperbund is looking forward to vacation in the PH
Yaya Sperbund is looking forward to returning to the Philippines, this time to explore the country as a tourist rather than for work.
In an interview with Lyn Ching, the Thai actress said she has fond memories of her previous visit to the country, particularly the warmth and energy of the Filipino people.
“I think it’s the vibe of the people. You guys are so lovely. Like, you’re so much fun and so kind. And when we went, everybody was, like, the energy was just so hyped up. Me and my husband, we were just like, wow, we’ve never gotten off the plane, got into the country, and felt so uplifted. It was really nice,” she said.
Yaya said she wants to experience more of the Philippines beyond her previous work-related trips.
“I am gonna go back for travel purposes because it’s always been for work and I think it’s time that I get to explore the beauty of Philippines now,” she said.
Among the things Yaya remembers about the Philippines is halo-halo, a dessert she said she loves.
“Halo-halo. I love it. It's so good. It's so good. I want some. You can't get it in Thailand, so I have to go back,” she said.
In the same interview, Yaya also shared how marriage has affected her relationship with her husband, Nadech Kugimiya.
“I think it changed me not at all. I think just the only thing that it has contributed is that we love each other more,” she said.
She also offered advice to those who are looking for love, saying it is better to remain single than to be with the wrong person.
“I think, honestly, if you find the right person, that is great. But if you found someone and it's not the right choice then it's better to be single. But if you are looking, please don't be lazy. Go out. Find your people. Don't stay at home,” she said.
Before ending the interview, Yaya shared a message for her Filipino supporters, saying, “Mabuhay. Mahal ko kayo.”
Yaya and Nadech starred in various acting projects such as “Nakee 2,” “Duang Jai Akkanee,” “Game Rai Game Rak,” and “Leh Lub Salub Rarng.”
