Angelina Jolie to visit PH for 2026 ASEAN Inclusive Growth Summit

Angelina Jolie is set to visit the Philippines as one of the speakers at the 2026 ASEAN Inclusive Growth Summit happening on November 11.

The Academy Award-winning Hollywood actress and humanitarian is among the featured speakers of the summit, which will bring together leaders from various sectors to discuss Southeast Asia's economic growth and development.

Jolie is also known for her humanitarian work, particularly her advocacy for refugees, displaced populations, and the protection of women and children.

She served as a Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) from 2001 to 2012 before becoming its Special Envoy, a role she held until 2022.

Other speakers at the summit include Lea Salonga, Kylie Verzosa, Rajo Laurel, and Department of Trade and Industry Secretary Cristina Roque, among others. — Carby Basina/LA, GMA News
