Singer Bruno Mars' mother dies - report

The mother of Grammy-award winning singer Bruno Mars died unexpectedly Saturday, entertainment news website TMZ.com reported.

Philippine-born Bernadette Hernandez, 55, died of a brain aneurysm at the Queens Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii.

According to the Mail Online, Hernandez was earlier reported to have been taken to hospital Friday after a suspected heart attack.

Mars was scheduled to go on a U.S. tour next month. There has been no word as to whether the schedule will be affected. — DVM, GMA News
