Newcomer Sam Smith joined more established stars Beyonce and Pharrell Williams in leading nominations for the Grammy Awards, with each tapped in six categories.
 
The winners will be announced at a gala ceremony in Los Angeles on February 8. Here are the nominees in some of the major categories, as announced on Friday.
