Belle sings ‘Bonjour’ in new ‘Beauty and the Beast’ clip
Be still my heart, I’m hardly breathing!
Disney is hyping the ever-loving goodness out of their upcoming live-action adaptation of “Beauty and the Beast.” Case in point: we have now have a new clip from the movie, and this time, it focuses on Belle as she sings a beloved song from the animated classic.
The clip’s release marks the beginning of the “Beauty and the Beast” worldwide press tour.
The studio also shared a photograph of the movie’s chief cast and crew, who have assembled in Paris—appropriate, given it’s the movie’s setting—to kick off said press tour.
Pictured from left to right are Josh Gad (LeFou), Emma Watson (Belle), Alan Menken (composer), Luke Evans (Gaston), Bill Condon (director), and Dan Stevens (The Prince/Beast).

Other actors joining the movie are Kevin Kline (Belle’s father Maurice), Ewan McGregor (Lumière), Ian McKellen (Cogsworth), Plumette (Gugu Mbatha-Raw), Emma Thompson (Mrs. Potts), Cadenza (Stanley Tucci), and Garderobe (Audra McDonald).
Alan Menken is part of the songwriting duo that gave us the 1991 animated film’s unforgettable Academy Award-winning music. He composed memorable scores for other Disney classics, such as “Aladdin,” “The Little Mermaid,” and “Pocahontas,” for which he also received Academy Awards. His impressive resume also includes “The Hunchback of Notre Dame,” “Hercules,” “Enchanted,” “Tangled,” and non-Disney projects such as “Sausage Party” and “Little Shop of Horrors.” Menken will return to compose the score for the live-action adaptation of “The Little Mermaid.”
Bill Condon directed the critically acclaimed movie musical “Dreamgirls,” starring Beyoncé Knowles, Jamie Foxx, Jennifer Hudson, and Eddie Murphy. He also directed both parts of “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn,” and the cult horror classic “Candyman: Farewell to the Flesh.”
“Beauty and the Beast” will be opening in theaters on March 17.
