Fil-Am theater actor is Nickelodeon's new 'Blue's Clues' host


A Filipino-American is taking over the 23-year-old Nickelodeon show "Blue's Clues," according to Entertainment Weekly.

The show will be theater actor Joshua Dela Cruz'sTV debut. He previously played the lead role in Broadway in Disney's Aladdin in 2017.

Dela Cruz, 30, was announced as the new host next year, and the show and Nickelodeon introduced him earlier this week:

Blue's Clues showcases a CGI dog that is accompanied by "Josh" in puzzle-solving adventures with his handy-dandy notebook, thinking chair, and some friends.

The show will have some revisions this time that would feature Dela Cruz with a Handy Dandy guitar and a new shade of blue-striped shirt. — BAP/BM, GMA News
