Missing 'Mama Bear' reunited with Pinay owner, Ryan Reynolds announces

The search for the missing teddy bear owned by a Filipina has ended in a happy note, actor Ryan Reynolds announced.

In a post on his Twitter account, Reynolds was also grateful that the bear was kept safe.

"In happier news... thank you everyone who searched high and low. To the person who took the bear, thanks for keeping it safe. Vancouver is awesome. #FoundMarasBear," he said in response to the post of Mara Soriano.

Reynolds post shows Soriano happily reunited with the teddy bear that bore the recording of Soriano's mother who died of cancer last year.

In response, Soriano expressed her gratitude for Renolds' support.

"THANK YOU RYAN! This wouldn't have been possible without your signal boost!," she replied to the Canadian actor's tweet.

In a separate tweet, Soriano told a follower that two samaritans returned the bear with the voice in tact but missing its eyeglasses.

The search for the bear was the subject of a widespread hunt, which was covered by Canadian news oulets, after a thief carted away Soriano's backpack left for a few minutes on the driveway as she was moving into her new home in Vancouver last July 26, 2020.

Reynolds posted earlier that he is offering $5,000 reward to anyone who returns the bear. -- BAP, GMA News
