Cole Sprouse confirms breakup with Lili Reinhart

"Riverdale" actor Cole Sprouse confirmed that he and his co-star Lili Reinhart have "permanently split."

In an Instagram post on Thursday, the actor broke his silence and shared that he and Lili initially separated back in January this year and decided to "more permanently split" in March.

Lili and I initially separated in January of this year, deciding to more permanently split in March. What an incredible experience I had, I’ll always feel lucky and cherish that I had the chance to fall in love. I wish her nothing but the utmost love and happiness moving forward. All I’ll say about it, anything else you hear doesn’t matter. Also her movie comes out soon! I’m sure she’s just as incredible in it as everything else she does. Thanks guys ??

Cole also took the time to promote Lili's upcoming movie, "Chemical Hearts." 

"I’m sure she’s just as incredible in it as everything else she does," he added.

According to a report from E! News, the on-screen and off-screen couple have split up multiple times over the course of their almost four-year relationship.

Lili and Cole played the on-screen love team Betty Cooper and Jughead Jones in the "Riverdale" series.
