Blackpink and Selena Gomez's 'Ice Cream' wins first place on SBS' 'Inkigayo'


Blackpink and Selena Gomez's latest collaboration "Ice Cream" has won first place on SBS' "Inkigayo," a weekly music show featuring the most popular artists in Korea.

Taking the second spot following Blacpink is Jessi's "NUNU NANA" and third place is Park Jin Young and Sunmi's "When We Disco," a report on Soompi said.

Broadcasted by SBS, Inkigayo airs live every Sunday featuring the latest and most popular artists performing on stage.

Following the girls' win, #IceCream1stWin trended on Twitter with over 110,000 tweets, as of this writing.

Blackpink released the official "Ice Cream" music video and song on August 28, following the of their record-breaking single, "How You Like That" released in June.

As of this writing, the original "Ice Cream" has more than 263 million views on YouTube.

In June, the group also collaborated with Lady Gaga on the song "Sour Candy."

Blackpink will release their first full-length album on October 2.

The South Korean girl group also announced that the music video for their 2019 hit song "Kill This Love" just one 1 billion views on YouTube.

Following their successful stints, Blackpink will also be having their own documentary. "BLACKPINK: Light Up the Sky"  which is set o drop this October 14 on Netflix. — Jannielyn Ann Bigtas/LA, GMA News
