‘The Big Bang Theory’ star Jim Parsons reveals he contracted COVID-19

“The Big Bang Theory” actor Jim Parsons has revealed that he and his husband Todd Spiewak had contracted the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

During the “The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon” episode on Monday, Jim shared that they contracted the virus in March and thought that it was just the colds at the beginning.

“We didn’t know what it was,” the actor said. “We thought we had colds and then it seemed less likely and finally we lost our sense of smell and taste.”

“It defied the description for me. I didn’t realize how completely taste and smell can be gone,” Jim shared.

“And when you’re in quarantine, and there’s really nothing to do but eat, oh my God, that was brutal,” he added. – Kaela Malig/RC, GMA News
