Biden and Harris addressed their supporters from a parking lot in Delaware, where they thanked their supporters and promised to get to work, pronto.

"The people of this nation have spoken. They have delivered us a clear victory, a convincing victory," Biden said.

On Sunday morning, President Rodrigo Duterte, on behalf of the Philippines, congratulated Biden for winning the presidency in the US, presidential spokesperson Harry Roque said in a statement sent to media.

"On behalf of the Filipino nation, President Rodrigo Roa Duterte wishes to extend his warm congratulations to former Vice President Joseph 'Joe' Biden on his election as the new President of the United States of America," Roque said. — LA, GMA News
