'Haikyuu' stage actor Kousuke Asuma 'worried' for the Philippines following Ulysses onslaught
Japanese stage actor Kousuke Asuma couldn't help but get "worried" after seeing the news about Typhoon Ulysses' onslaught on the Philippines.
Kousuke, famous for playing Oikawa Tooru in the Haikyuu Hyper Projection Stageplay, shared a video of a flood-hit area on his Instagram.
"How's everyone in the Philippines after the typhoon?" he wrote. "Did anyone get hurt? Are you able to evacuate? I am very worried. This year is a difficult year but I hope we can move forward."


In another Instagram Story, he vowed, "I will do my best so I can go back to the Philippines next year!"
Kousuke is also known for having played Ichimaru Gin in Rock Musical Bleach and Kawakami Otojirou in Meiji Tokyo Renka.
Typhoon Ulysses exited the Philippine Area of Responsibility Friday morning after devastating Luzon with strong winds and heavy rain.
The military has so far recorded 39 fatalities due to Typhoon Ulysses while 40 individuals were recorded to be injured and 22 were missing. —JCB, GMA News
