Chris Evans reacts to rumors saying he's going to return as ‘Captain America’

Is Chris Evans suiting up once again as Steve Rogers a.k.a. Captain America?

According to a report by Deadline last January 14, Evans has been in talks to “return as Steve Rogers aka Captain America in at least one Marvel property, with the door open for a second film.”

The report also mentioned that “it’s unlikely to be a new ‘Captain America’ installment and more likely to be like what Robert Downey Jr. did after Iron Man 3, appearing in such films as ‘Captain America: Civil War’ and ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’.”

Lots of Marvel fans were happy to hear the news, but some fans think the actor shut down the rumors last January 15 with a tweet saying “News to me,” followed by a shrugging emoji.

Chris Evans last appeared as Captain America  in “Avengers: Endgame” after the heroes saved the world after the mad titan Thanos.
