Lady Gaga’s dog-walker recalls 'close call with death'; thanks singer, fans for support

Lady Gaga’s dog-walker has opened up on social media about the life-threatening attack he faced while walking the celebrity’s dogs last week.

Four days after the Feb. 24 attack, Ryan Fisher shared selfies from the hospital bed saying he was still on his way to recovery.

He also described a horrifying scene after being shot, saying he lay in a pool of blood while trying to keep ahold of Asia, one of Gaga’s three French Bulldogs.

“[Four] days ago, while a car sped away and blood poured from my gun shot wound, an angel trotted over and laid next to me,” Fischer wrote.

“My panicked screams calmed as I looked at her, even though it registered that the blood pooling around her tiny body was my own. I cradled Asia as best I could, thanked her for all the incredible adventures we’d been on together, apologized that I couldn’t defend her brothers, and then resolved that I would still try to save them… and myself,” he added.

Fischer thanked Gaga, her fans, and his loved ones for their support, as well as the health workers, first responders for helping him.

"I am still in recovery from a very close call with death and have kept myself (for the most part, I mean I am human) from the growing media story. I will write and say more later, but the gratitude for all the love I feel from around this planet is immense and intense. I felt your healing support! Thank you," he said.

Gaga had offered a $500,000 reward for her other two dogs, Koji and Gustav, who went missing after the attack.

The two canines were found and returned safely a few days later. — Margaret Claire Layug/LA, GMA News
