SHINee's Taemin to enlist in military this May

SHINee's Taemin is set to enlist in the military on May 31.

"There is more than a month left, so I didn't want to spend it already being sad.I wanted to tell you with my own words directly," the K-pop idol said in a V Live broadcast on Monday, as reported by Soompi.

Taemiin added that he had a lot planned out before his enlistment. Aside from holding his BEYOND LIVE concert on May 2, he'll also be releasing his solo album in the second or third week of May.

"The album schedule hasn’t been confirmed yet, but I will be able to show one last brilliant performance and music," Taemin said.

Taemin is the last member of SHINee to enlist in the military as older members Onew, Key, and Minho have completed their service.

Last week, SHINee dropped their repackaged album "Atlantis," the group's comeback after two years. Aside from being a SHINee member, Taemin has also been a solo artist and a member of SM Entertainment's project group SuperM. — Kaela Malig/LA, GMA News
