Billie Eilish wears lingerie, reveals tattoo for British Vogue
Billie Eilish just graced the cover of British Vogue in a never-before-seen “classic, old-timey pin-up” look.
Donning some lingerie and a new blonde do, the 19-year-old pop superstar revealed a bold tattoo near her bikini area, which Vogue said was “a signifier of strength for only herself.”
In the story, the singer opened up about being criticized about her body and struggling with harsh comments and beauty standards.
“It made me really offended when people were like, ‘Good for her for feeling comfortable in her bigger skin,’” the "Happier than Ever" singer said.
“Jesus Christ?! Good for me? ... The more the internet and the world care about somebody that’s doing something they’re not used to, they put it on such a high pedestal that then it’s even worse.”
According to Eilish: “It’s all about what makes you feel good.
“If you want to get surgery, go get surgery. If you want to wear a dress that somebody thinks that you look too big wearing, f**k it – if you feel like you look good, you look good,” she said.
According to Vogue, Eilish’s “classic, old-timey pin-up” photo shoot was styled by Dena Giannini and was inspired by illusionist beauty shots and stockinged models captured by Elmer Batters.
The look comes a long way from the singer’s signature baggy, rap-influenced style of clothing.
“I’ve literally never done anything in this realm at all,” Eilish told Vogue. “Y’know, besides when I’m alone and shit.”
