‘To The Beautiful You’ star Lee Hyun Woo joins cast of Korean ’Money Heist’ remake

Lee Hyun Woo is reportedly joining the cast of the upcoming Korean remake of “Money Heist."

According to Soompi, Park Jung Woo was initially announced to play Rio but it did not push through due to scheduling conflicts.

Stepping in is former child actor Lee Hyun Woo, whose previous projects include “The Liar And His Lover,” “Moorim School,” and “To The Beautiful You.”

The Korean adaptation of the hit Spanish series "Money Heist" is expected to have 12 episodes, and will center around the Professor who recruits the gang to go through the heist.

Netflix first announced the Korean cast last March.

The star-studded lineup includes "The Swindlers" actor Yoo Ji Tae as the "Professor," "Seven Days" actress Kim Yun Jin as the inspector, and Jeon Jong Seo as "Tokyo."

Meanwhile, Park Hae Soo will play as "Berlin," Kim Ji Hun as "Denver," Jang Yoon Ju as "Nairobi," Lee Won Jong as "Moscow," Kim Ji Hun as "Helsinki," and Lee Kyu Ho as "Oslo." — Margaret Claire Layug/LA, GMA News
