Letitia Wright hospitalized after accident on 'Black Panther: Wakanda Forever' set
Letitia Wright has sustained minor injuries after a stunt rig accident on the set of "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever."
Citing a Marvel spokesman, Variety reported that the actress was hospitalized but is "expected to be released soon."
According to the report, the shoot was happening overnight in Boston.
Wright plays the role of Shuri, genius inventor and younger sister of T’Challa, a.k.a the Black Panther.
Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige announced back in July that production for the sequel film has begun in Atlanta, and promised that they would bring the world of Wakanda to life in a way that the late Chadwick Boseman would be proud of.
Boseman, who played T'Challa, died last August 29 after a four-year battle with colon cancer.
Upon hearing the news, Wright had shared a heartbreaking eulogy for her on-screen brother.
“I thought we had more time and many more years to come,” she said. “I thought this would be forever.” —JCB, GMA News
