Addison's return was first teased last month, when the "Grey's Anatomy" official Instagram page posted a video of Kate confirming the good news.
“Grey’s Anatomy” is an Emmy Award-winning series that follows Dr. Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo) and her fellow doctors at the Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital who are faced with life-or-death decisions on a daily basis.
Kate Walsh — who also stars in shows like “Private Practice,” “13 Reasons Why” and “Umbrella Academy” — plays Dr. Addison Montgomery, who is the wife of Meredith’s love interest Derek Shepherd (Patrick Dempsey).
Her character first appeared in Season 1 and became a series regular for Seasons 2 and 3 before leaving to lead the spin-off, “Private Practice.” — Margaret Claire Layug/LA, GMA News
