Timothée Chalamet suits up as Willy Wonka
Your first look at Timothée Chalamet as Willy Wonka is finally here!
The 25-year-old actor just posted a photo of himself in “Wonka,” the upcoming prequel to Roald Dahl’s 1964 novel “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.”
The sneak peek shows his character keeping warm in a velvet coat and an iconic top hat as it snows all around him.
"The suspense is terrible, I hope it will last… WONKA," Timothée captioned it.
The award-winning French-American actor, who was nominated for an Oscar in 2018 for “Call Me Be Your Name,” recently appeared in Wes Anderson’s “The French Dispatch.”
He and is set to star in highly-anticipated films like “Don’t Look Up” and “Dune.”
He now succeeds Gene Wilder who portrayed Willy Wonka in the 1971 film “Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory,” and Johnny Depp in Tim Burton’s 2005 reboot “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.”
