'Descendants of the Sun' actor Jin Goo tests positive for COVID-19

"Descendants of the Sun" Korean actor Jin Goo has tested positive for the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

According to a Soompi report, Jin Goo's agency has confirmed the news, saying the actor is receiving treatment at the isolation facility.

"Last month, he received notice that he had been in close contact with a confirmed case," the statement read. "After he tested positive, he has been following the measures given by the disease control authorities."

"At the time he was tested, he had no symptoms, and he continues to be asymptomatic now. He is in good health," they added.

Jin Goo rose to fame after his role in the 2016 drama "Descendants of the Sun," he starred in another drama in 2019 titled "Legal High," his latest film was in 2021 titled "You're So Precious to Me," the Soompi report said. — Jannielyn Ann Bigtas/LA, GMA News
