Fil-Am rapper Saweetie reacts to her 2 Grammy nominations


Fil-Am rapper Saweetie is nominated for not just one, but two Grammy awards!

The first-time nominee is up for both Best New Artist and Best Rap Song for “Best Friend,” her hit collab with Doja Cat.

Saweetie did not hide her excitement when she shared the news with her fans on Twitter.

"I’m speechless I wish I had the words to express how I feel but I’m just so grateful!!!” the rapper tweeted.

“Being acknowledged for all the hard work me & my team have been doing feels AMAZINNNNNG," she added.

"Thank you #TeamIcy for stickin with me through thick and thin y’all some real ride or dies IKDR!!"

 

 

For Best Rap Song, Saweetie and Doja Cat are up against some of the biggest names in hip-hop, including Kanye West (Feat. Jay-Z) for “Jail,” Baby Keem (Feat. Kendrick Lamar) for “Family Ties” and J. Cole (Feat. 21 Savage) for “My Life.”

Meanwhile, other nominees for Best New Artist include Olivia Rodrigo, The Kid LAROI, Arooj Aftab, Baby Keem, Jimmie Allen, FINNEAS, Japanese Breakfast, Glass Animals, and Arlo Parks.
