Blackpink’s Lisa tests positive for COVID-19

Blackpink member Lisa has tested positive for COVID-19.

According to a Soompi report, Blackpink's agency, YG Entertainment, released a statement and confirmed the news.

"Blackpink’s Lisa was diagnosed with COVID-19 this afternoon (November 24)," it said.

Meanwhile, the agency said that the other Blackpink members, namely Rosé, Jennie and Jisoo, had not been classified as close contacts yet, but they'd already received PCR tests and were just waiting for their results.

"We first shared this information quickly and accurately with representatives and staff, and we took strong preemptive measures even beyond the guidelines of health authorities," YG Entertainment said.

"We will continue to not hold back on providing full support with the health of our artists and related staff members as the top priority. If there are any changes in the future, we will once again notify you quickly."

In September, Lisa made her long-awaited solo debut with "Lalisa." Its music video broke the Guinness World Records for most viewed YouTube music video by a solo artist in 24 hours and most viewed YouTube music video in 24 hours by a solo K-pop artist.

Last month, Lisa, DJ Snake, Ozuna, and Megan Thee Stallion released a collaboration titled "SG." – Kaela Malig/RC, GMA News
