BTOB's Yook Sung Jae is confirmed to star in new webtoon-based drama

BTOB member Yook Sung Jae has been confirmed to star in a new webtoon-based drama!

According to a Soompi report on Tuesday, the "Goblin" actor will be starring in a new drama called "Golden Spoon."

Based on a webtoon of the same name, "Golden Spoon" revolves around a student  from a poor family who uses a mysterious golden spoon to switch his fate with a wealthy friend.

Sung Jae is set to play the role of student Lee Seung Chun, who dreams of changing his life with the mysterious golden spoon.

Sung Jae was reported just last week to be in talks to star in the webtoon-based drama.

"Golden Spoon," produced by "The King's Affection" director Song Hyun Wook and penned by  "Winter Sonata" writers Kim Eun Hee and Yoon Eun Kyung, will be Sung Jae's first project since his discharge from the military earlier this month.

The new drama is set to premiere in the second half of 2022. — LA, GMA News
