'Snowdrop' actress Kim Mi Soo passes away

Korean actress Kim Mi Soo has passed away on Wednesday.

According to Soompi, her agency Landscape Entertainment confirmed the news with a statement.

"We are relaying sorrowful and heartbreaking news. Kim Mi Soo suddenly passed away on January 5," read the statement.

While it's been reported that her wake will be held at Taeneung Sungsim Funeral Service, the family has made known their wish that the funeral be held quietly and in private.

Korean media reports she died at age 31, while Variety magazine pegs her age at 29, explaining the difference was "due to different methods of calculation."

She was born on March 16, 1992.

Kim Mi Soo is best known for appearing in a number of K-Dramas most recently of which is "Snowdrop." — LA, GMA News
