SEVENTEEN’s Wonwoo tests positive for COVID-19
SEVENTEEN member Wonwoo has tested positive for COVID-19.
According to his agency PLEDIS Entertainment, the singer was diagnosed with the disease after developing a sore throat and mild fever.
"Wonwoo was tested positive on the self-test kit after experiencing a sore throat and a mild fever on Friday, February 11. He promptly took a PCR test and was confirmed with COVID-19 on the morning of Saturday, February 12," said the agency's statement.
The agency assured the public that Wonwoo was currently not exhibiting any "extraordinary symptoms" other than a sore throat and mild fever, and was administering self-treatment at home.

It also said that as the group recently took some time off, the only member who came into contact with Wonwoo was Hoshi. Although his self-test kit and rapid antigen test result came back negative, he was still waiting for the results of his PCR test.
"All other SEVENTEEN members preemptively underwent self-testing, which all came back as negative and none of them are presenting any symptoms," the agency said.
Because of Wonwoo's diagnosis and Hoshi's exposure, they will not be participating in SEVENTEEN's upcoming activities, including the online event for their 9th Mini Album "Attacca" scheduled today.
"We will continue to provide support for the rapid recovery of Wonwoo, placing our highest priority on the health and safety of our artists," said PLEDIS Entertainment. – Kaela Malig/RC, GMA News
