SEVENTEEN's Vernon tests positive for COVID-19

SEVENTEEN member Vernon has tested positive for COVID-19.

In a Weverse statement on Friday, PLEDIS Entertainment said that Vernon took a PCR test after suffering from sore throat on Thursday. His results came back positive on Friday.

The South Korean rapper is currently undergoing self-treatment at home.

According to the statement, Vernon was with fellow members DK, Dino, S.Coups, and Woozy recently, but that they had all been wearing masks and there had been no "close contact."

They all took a rapid antigen tests, and the results returned negative.

"It would be difficult to for Vernon to take part in SEVENTEEN's activities for a while," PLEDIS said.

"We will continue to provide support for the rapid recovery of Vernon, placing the highest priority on the health and safety of our artists," they added.

Earlier this month, SEVENTEEN member Wonwoo was also diagnosed with COVID-19. —JCB, GMA News
