Seungkwan and DK of SEVENTEEN test positive for COVID-19
SEVENTEEN members Seungkwan and DK tested positive for COVID-19 following the diagnosis of the group’s leader S.Coups.
In a statement on Saturday, their agency Pledis Entertainment said both members were currently administering self-treatment at home.
It said DK took a rapid antigen test, which tested negative on Friday. “However, as he experienced a mild sore throat, DK preemptively took a PCR test and was confirmed with COVID-19 on the evening of Saturday, March 5,” it added.
Seungkwan, who was experiencing body aches, also took both rapid antigen and PCR tests, which tested positive on Saturday.
Pledis said all SEVENTEEN members except for those who tested positive recently—S.Coups, Hoshi, Wonwoo and Vernon—preemptively took self-test kits on Saturday, which tested negative.
The agency also said the rest of the members were not showing any symptoms.
“Therefore, it will be difficult for DK and Seungkwan to take part in SEVENTEEN’s activities for a while. We will provide you with updates on their activity resumption,” it said.
“We will continue to provide support for the rapid recovery of DK and Seungkwan, placing our highest priority on the health and safety of our artists. We will also continue to fully cooperate with the requests and guidelines of the health care authorities.” – RC, GMA News
