Jeonghan of SEVENTEEN tests positive for COVID-19

Jeonghan of SEVENTEEN has tested positive for COVID-19 and is experiencing mild symptoms.

The group’s agency Pledis Entertainment shared the update on Weverse Wednesday, saying the artist initially got the result through a self-test.

“He promptly took a rapid antigen test and was confirmed with COVID-19. Jeonghan is currently experiencing a sore throat and a mild cough and is administering self-treatment at home,” it said.

Jeonghan will be taking a break from the group’s activities. Pledis Entertainment also said it would update everyone of his return immediately.

“We will continue to provide support for the rapid recovery of Jeonghan, placing our highest priority on the health and safety of our artists,” it said.

“We will also continue to fully cooperate with the requests and guidelines of healthcare authorities,” it added.

As of writing, Jeonghan is the top trending topic on Philippine Twitter with over 35,000 tweets from fans wishing him a fast recovery.
