BTS agency shuts down RM marriage rumors

Big Hit Music has released a statement about the marriage rumors surrounding BTS leader RM.

According to Korean news reports, the agency said, "RM's marriage rumors are groundless. We are continuously taking action against malicious rumors that started on YouTube.”

The YouTube channel Sojang said that RM was preparing for marriage.

According to Korean entertainment website Soompi, news spread online that RM was said to get married to a non-celebrity.

A netizen wrote, "I received a call from a junior colleague who is seven years younger than me saying, 'I'm marrying RM.' She's from a prestigious university and a decent family. I heard that she met RM at a fan meeting between 2014 and 2015."

The person also revealed texts with the junior colleague that there was no exact date for the wedding and that it should be kept a secret. The colleague also said that the groom was the leader of BTS. – Nika Roque/RC, GMA News
