Jang Nara marries non-showbiz partner

Jang Nara is now married to her non-showbiz partner.

The Korean actress tied the knot in a private ceremony at the Bonelli Garden in Seoul Sunday, according to a Soompi report.

In a statement shared by her agency Lawon Munhwa, Jang Nara thanked those who congratulated her with their "interest and love."

"To repay your love and support, I will live happily and merrily as a great wife at home and a sincere actress at work," she said.

Lawon Munhwa, meanwhile, asked for understanding "that it was not possible to film and cover [the wedding] to be considerate of the non-celebrity groom's side and due to the spread of COVID-19."

Jang Nara announced earlier this month that she was getting married.

"I fell for his beautiful smile, kind and genuine heart, and above all else, the way he is overflowing with sincerity and pours his whole heart into his work," she said, according to a translation on Soompi.

"The fact that I will be spending my life together with such an amazing person makes me so happy that I couldn't ask for anything more, and I wanted to honestly share my joy with all of you, who are so precious to me!" she added.
