'High School Musical The Musical The Series' is set to come back for Season 4

The "High School Musical: The Musical: The Series (HSMTMTS)" Season 4 is finally happening — but there's a plot twist you might not have seen coming. 

For its fourth season, East High students were made aware that "High School Musical 4: The Reunion" is being shot on their campus, and some of them will be playing extras in the film.

In its official social media announcement on Sunday, the people behind the musical said, "Season 4 of #HSMTMTS is coming, and it promises to be bigger and better than ever."

Could this be the biggest crossover in the High School Musical world? After all, we've seen the original cast, like Vanessa Hudgens and Zac Efron visiting Salt Lake High School a few months ago, where they filmed "High School Musical."
