Choi Sung Bong passes away at 33

Korean singer Choi Sung Bong passed away on Tuesday. He was 33 years old.

According to a report on Yonhap News Agency, police found the "Korea's Got Talent" alum dead at his home in Seoul.

Police believe Choi died by suicide after he implied it in a vlog on his YouTube channel.

The singer was involved in a donation scandal in 2021 after claiming he was battling multiple cancers. He later confessed that his health issues were not true and vowed to return the money he received.

"I sincerely apologize to all who suffered from my foolish mistake," he said in the vlog.

He added that all the donations he got were already returned.

Choi was a finalist on "Korea's Got Talent" in 2011. His songs include "A Thousand Winds," "You Are A Blessing," and "As What I Say."
