Taecyeon of 2PM addresses viral ‘marriage proposal’ photos
Taecyeon of 2PM has addressed his viral "marriage proposal" photos through the K-pop group's agency, 51K.
"Those photos were not taken as part of a marriage proposal," a representative from 51K said in a statement that Soompi published.
According to 51K's statement, the photos were taken in 2024 "to celebrate his girlfriend's birthday." They "were unfortunately leaked and spread across online communities," it added.
In the statement, the rep made sure to say Taecyeon still in “a good relationship with his girlfriend, as he always has.”
“While we believe that he may get married someday when the timing is right, there are no immediate plans for marriage at this time,” they said.
Photos of Taecyeon with his non-celebrity girlfriend in Paris made the rounds online this week. In the photos, Taecyeon was seen kneeling and presenting a ring to his girlfriend with the Eiffel Tower in the background.
In its story, Soompi said a photographer posted the photos on social media and has since been deleted after going viral.
In 2020, Taecyeon agency confirmed he is in a relationship.
Best known for the songs “My House,” “Make It,” and “Hands Up," 2PM debuted in 2008.
They released their comeback album “Must” in 2021.
Taecyeon has also released solo music. The idol also worked on various variety shows and is an actor. He is best known for his role as the antagonist Jang Jun Woo or Jang Han Seok in “Vincenzo.”
