Michelle Yeoh remembers Barbie Hsu with 'Reign of Assassins' stills: 'Shocked and deeply saddened'
Michelle Yeoh paid tribute to Barbie Hsu following the “Meteor Garden” star’s sudden passing early this week.
On Instagram, Michelle shared photos from their 2010 film, “Reign of Assassins.”
"Shocked and deeply saddened we have lost a shining star… RIP dear Da S. Heartfelt condolences to Family and all who love you,” she wrote in the caption.
Barbie passed away on February 2 due to influenza-induced pneumonia while in Japan. She was 48.
It was reported on Thursday that the late actress's remains are now in Taiwan.
Her husband, South Korean rapper DJ Koo, has broken his silence in the wake of her death, posting a statement on Instagram Thursday in both Chinese and Korean.
“I am currently in a state of indescribable sadness and pain, with a heart as if being cut by a knife, and my insides are torn apart," he said according to translation. "I have no strength to speak, nor do I want to speak."
