Kim Soo Hyun’s agency to issue official statement concerning allegations

Kim Soo Hyun’s agency, Gold Medalist, is set to release an official statement concerning the recent allegations surrounding the South Korean actor.

According to a report by Soompi on Thursday, the agency stated that they will release the official statement next week, although a date was not specified.

“Gold Medalist will clarify the facts and respond to the baseless rumors by presenting a clear and substantiated position next week,” Gold Medalist said.

“We sincerely apologize for causing prolonged fatigue and ask for your understanding as we aim to prevent further ongoing reports."

Kim Soo Hyun became the subject of controversy after HoverLab Inc. on YouTube alleged that he harassed the late actress Kim Sae Ron.

Gold Medalist has denied the allegations that the agency and Kim Soo Hyun colluded with YouTuber Lee Jin Ho to harass Sae Ron, calling these "clearly false and baseless."

"They further claimed that Kim Soo Hyun and the late Kim Sae Ron were in a romantic relationship starting when she was 15 years old, that our company acted improperly in handling the aftermath of Kim Sae Ron's DUI incident, and that a manager from our company has a close relationship with YouTuber Lee Jin Ho,” Gold Medalist said in a statement.

Gold Medalist called these claims "malicious" and "entirely false." They also said they are reviewing the "strong possible legal actions" against HoverLab Inc. for the disinformation.

The company previously denied dating rumors in 2024, which came after Kim Sae Ron posted an old photo of her and Kim Soo Hyun on Instagram Stories.

Kim Soo Hyun is known for starring in "Queen of Tears," "It's Okay To Not Be Okay," and "My Love from the Star."

He was in the Philippines in 2024 for a fan meet.

Meanwhile, Kim Sae Ron was also formerly managed by Gold Medalist. She parted ways with the company months after being caught driving under the influence of alcohol.

She died by suicide in February at the age of 24.

Kim Sae Ron was known for her roles in the films “A Brand New Life,” and “The Man From Nowhere.” She also appeared in the series “Hi! School Love On,” “Can You Hear my Heart,” and “The Queen’s Classroom,” among others.
