‘Batman’ actor Val Kilmer passes away

Val Kilmer, who is best known for his role in “Batman Forever,” has passed away. He was 65. 

Citing his daughter Mercedes,  The New York Times report Wednesday (Philippine time) that Kilmer died of pneumonia in Los Angeles, California. 

Kilmer was diagnosed with throat cancer in 2014 and later recovered as per his daughter. 

Aside from playing the role of Bruce Wayne in “Batman Forever” in 1995, Kilmer was known for bringing the character of The Doors’ frontman Jim Morrisson to life in the 1991 biopic “The Doors.” 

He last appeared in the cinema in 2022's "Top Gun: Maverick."
