Billie Eilish dominates 2025 American Music Awards with 7 wins
Billie Eilish, Beyonce, Rod Steward, and Janet Jackson are among those who won big at the 2025 American Music Awards.
Billie dominated the AMAs, as she won in all the seven categories she was nominated in. Her awards are Artist of the Year, Album of the Year for “Hit Me Hard and Soft”, Favorite Touring Artist, Favorite Female Pop Artist, Favorite Pop Album for “Hit Me Hard and Soft,” and Song of the Year and Favorite Pop Song both for “Birds of a Feather.”
Billie, who is currently on tour, sent a video message.
“Oh my god, Artist of the Year. This is so crazy. I feel speechless. Thank you so much, I love you all so much," she said.
“I wish I could be there so much, I’m on tour getting to see you all over the world. Thank you to the AMAs, thank you to the fans and I know you voted for this. This means the world to me and I’m just so lucky to get to do what I do and to do it with you. I love you all so much and thank you guys."
Meanwhile, Rod was presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award by five of his eight children.
“When I started singing in the early ‘60s, well before all of you lot were here, the reason I got into it was because I had this burning ambition to sing. That’s all I wanted to do. I didn’t want to be rich or famous, and a few years later, picking up this wonderful award,” he said in his speech.
He also closed the show with a performance of “Forever Young.”
Janet accepted the Icon Award and gave her first televised performance in seven years with “Someone to Call My Lover” and “All For You.”
“No disrespect in any way, but I don’t consider myself an icon. My family, myself, our dream wasn’t ever to be famous. We weren’t raised like that. We always had a special love for music, dancing, and singing, and fame came with the result of hard work and dedication,” she said.
"My story, my family’s story, it’s truly an American story. This would have only happened in America. The one thing that I hope for is that I’ve been an inspiration to others and artists to follow their dreams and succeed.”
Beyonce, for her part, won two awards, Favorite Female Country Artist and Favorite Country Album for “Cowboy Carter.”
